Rocky Shoreline 2025
Pastel on UArt paper
20.5x17.75 $2000
Another Maine shoreline. I love the rocks and really enjoyed painting them. The wildness of the place attracted me. The strewn boulders with the ground cover making its way into and through the rock on the ground was interesting to me. A lot of depth in this painting with the water in the background.

Nailed It! 2025
Pastel paper on panel
16.75x19.75 $800
Saw this telephone pole on the way to work. Very popular for posters I guess. I love the colors, the shapes, the overall pattern. Right up my street. Very enjoyable to paint.

Self-Reflection 2023
Pastel on Lux Archival paper with Derwent Inktense Blocks underpainting.
27 x 22, $3000.
This painting came from an old photo I took in downtown Denver as I was going through basic training in the Army as a photographer. I LOVE the colors, and the twin reflections are interesting. This was the third time I tried this subject as a pastel. (My photo is pretty cool too.) It's a close up of a brass handle on a very old wooden door to a tavern.

Locks of Love 2021
Pastel on sanded paper
27.5x21.5 $5000
Loved doing this piece! Photo from an art installation I saw in Portland, ME. We're all connected. We can find the love locked within us. I exchanged some combinations and brand names on a few locks for the races/genders of humanity.

Spring Leaf 2020
Pastel on sanded board
21x26, $4000
This is from a photo I took just walking down the street. I love the water drops and the lilac color of the leaf. I also like the curve of the pine needles, especially the one that bends into the vein of the leaf. This painting took forever to finish. My work was interrupted by the COVID lockdown. I just couldn't concentrate.

Cliffside 2023
Pastel on Lux Archival paper with a watercolor underpainting.
42 x 30, $5000.
Another painting from my photographer friend, Darryl. I thought this Maine cliff was amazing. The movement of the scene, the way the rocks fan out from the shore out into the water is wonderful. And the colors!

Taxi Ride 2022
Pastel on sanded paper
19 x 22 $500
Another reference photo from my friend, Rachel Cain. I love the colors and the composition. I really like the shapes of the shadows, and I love to paint chrome. This was a fun to do.

Shipwreck Rocks 2019
Pastel on sanded paper
19x16, $500
Famous shipwreck shore in ME. Many ships lost their cargo and crew here. I love the blocky shape of the boulders. The contrast between dark shadow and bright sunlight were what drew me to this scene.

Autumn Leaves 2015
Pastel on sanded paper
12x18, $300
Another one I'm very proud of. These leaves were piled on a berm in my neighborhood like a jigsaw puzzle, all pattern and color. My favorite colors, my favorite season.

Where the Buoys Are 2019
Pastel on sanded paper
18.5x21.5, $300
I stood under an arch on a bridge in the harbor of Portland, ME. I looked straight up and saw this pattern of the hanging buoys. Love the colors too. This was a fun one to paint.
