Elysian Lake 2021
Pastel on sanded paper
12x13 $200
A little ditty of a local lake in the summer. Love the reflections and colors.

Pink Prairie 2022
Pastel on sanded paper, Derwent Inktense blocks, gesso.
14 x 17 $150
From a reference photo of wonderful photographer, Rachel Cain. She took it in the prairies of Minnesota. The color of the wildflowers was the reason I needed to paint this scene. Amazing!

Nestled 2021
Pastel on sanded paper
14.5x17.5 $100
Another Beaver Island scene. I like the cozy, protected home, nestled amongst the trees. Must be beautiful to wake up in the morning there.

Bluebird Nest 2023
Pastel on UArt paper, twigs, leaf, moss, planter plate
12 x 12 x 3 $150
A departure from my usual technique. This nest was found on a nearby Arboretum property. It was beautiful in the sun. I painted the eggs and background with soft pastels. Found twigs on the ground and glued them onto the paper. Added the moss and set it into a terracotta planter plate. A fun experiment.

Rains Have No Borders 2021
Pastel on sanded paper
13.5x17.5 $200
I saw the world in a puddle, with ripples fanning out all over the world, touching everyone, regardless of where they live.

South Haven Dawn 2020

21 x 16, $400

Art Class 2020
Pastel on sanded paper,
14x11, $175
I love these colors! It was fun to paint this one. Drawers from an art class studio.

Flight to Freedom 2018
Pastel on sanded paper, vellum
25x29, $200
I painted this for the Westminster Presbyterian Church 2019 Art Festival for their theme:"Migration." It represents the escape from danger to freedom migrants risk everyday. The yellow box with black shapes is actually a take on the yellow caution signs on the freeways in Southern CA.

Mountain Lake 2017

20x26, $200
An abstract representing my take on Lake MI.
